Marywood Cruises Past King's in Season-Opener
Pacers win 25-10, 25-11, and 25-10 for sweep of Monarchs

Scranton, PA – Marywood University’s volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory of King’s College on Saturday in the season-opener for both teams. The Pacers claimed a 25-10 win in the first set and followed with a 25-11 decision in the second set before sealing the win with a 25-10 victory in the third set.
Emily Fillman (Clarion, PA) led the Pacers attack with 14 kills while adding seven digs. Alyssa Hartranft (Mountain Top, PA) dished out a team-high 30 assists for Marywood while Rachel Tollett led the team with 21 digs in her collegiate debut.
Marywood will next be in action on Friday when they travel across town for the Scranton Invitational. The Pacers will play host University of Scranton at 4:00 p.m. before a rematch with King’s at 6:00 p.m.
