Men's Cross Country Ranked Second in CSAC Coaches' Poll
2009 runner-up Pacers eyeing first-ever conference championship
Marywood's men's cross country team has its sights set on the program's first-ever conference title in 2010.
Aston, PA., - Marywood University men’s cross country team has been picked second in the Colonial States Athletic Conference coaches’ poll. The Pacers captured 90 points in the balloting including one first place vote to finish eight points behind two-time defending CSAC champion Gwynedd-Mercy College, who earned 98 points and nine first-place votes.
Keystone College captured 68 points to place third in the poll followed by Cabrini College’s 62 points. Baptist Bible College placed fifth with 55 points and Philadelphia Biblical University garnered 46 points to be tabbed for a sixth place finish. Neumann University (44 points), Centenary College (32 points), Immaculata University (31 points), and Rosemont College (24 points) rounded out the voting.
Marywood, who has finished as the conference’s runner-up six times, will be looking to capture their first-ever title at the CSAC Championships on Saturday, October 30, 2010. The Pacers open their season on Wednesday, September 1st, with a non-team scoring event at the University of Scranton.
