Men's Soccer Picked Fourth in CSAC Coaches' Poll
Pacers looking to improve upon 2009's fourth place finish in the conference

Aston, Pa. – Marywood University’s men’s soccer team has been picked to finish fourth in the Colonial States Athletic Conference this season according to the pre-season coaches’ poll which was released today. The Pacers captured 74 points in the poll after posting a 7-9-2 record in 2009, finishing fourth in the conference with a 5-3-1 CSAC mark and qualifying for the conference playoffs.
Cabrini College was selected as the pre-season favorite in balloting of the conference’s coaches, capturing 93 points and six of ten possible first place votes after winning the 2009 CSAC Conference Championship. Neumann University earned a total of 90 points and three first place votes to place second in the poll. Last season’s conference runner-up, Immaculata University, was selected third with 78 points, just four points ahead of Marywood.
Gwynedd-Mercy College received 60 points to place fifth while capturing the last first place vote. Rosemont College (45), Centenary College (42), Philadelphia Biblical University (29), Baptist Bible College (20), and Keystone College (19) rounded out the voting.
The 2010 CSAC Championship begins with quarterfinal action on Tuesday November 2nd. The CSAC Championship Game is set for Saturday, November 6th at the highest remaining seed.
Marywood opens their 2010 campaign on Wednesday, September 1st when they host Wilkes University at 7:00 p.m.
