Men's Tennis Advances to CSAC Championship
Pacer to take on Neumann Monday for CSAC title, NCAA tournament berth

Springfield, PA - Top-seed Marywood University cruised to a 5-0 win over fourth-seed Keystone College in the Colonial States Athletic Conference men's tennis semifinal to set up a showdown with second-seed Neumann University Monday morning with the conference title and a trip to the NCAA tournament on the line. Neumann advanced past three-seed Gwynedd-Mercy by an identical score.
Marywood raced out to a 3-0 lead over the Giants after doubles play. Evan Bolus (Clarks Summit, PA) and Greg Chilson (Mountainside, NJ) won 8-3 over Chris Conte and Samual Dahmer, while Daniel Pfafman (Stratford, NJ) and Barrett Wentworth (Clarks Summit, PA) won 8-1 at two-doubles for Marywood. The closest match of the day came at three-doubles where Todd Doran (South Windsor, CT) and Wyatt Nolan (Montoursville, PA) won a close 8-6 match over Keystone's Keith Garubba and Matthew Gentile.
In a race to five points, Marywood needed just two singles victories to advance to Monday's Championship match and got them quickly as Chilson blanked Dahmer 6-0, 6-0 at the top singles flight and Doran earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at three singles over Sean Hanahue.
The Pacers and Knights will take the court at 11:00 am at the HealthPlex in Springfield, Pennsylvania. Marywood earned a 5-4 regular season win over Neumann on April 18. The winner of the CSAC men's tennis championship receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
