Scranton, PA - Marywood University plated 34 runs on 35 hits over the course of two games and sophomore second baseman Jillian Flanagan went 6-for-7 with three doubles and six RBI on the day as host Marywood swept a CSAC doubleheader from Rosemont College Friday afternoon.  Marywood (17-15, 14-6 CSAC) topped the Ravens 16-1 in five innings in the opener before shutting out the visitors 18-0 in five in the nightcap.

Flanagan (Monroe, NY) went 4-for-4 in the opener with two doubles and three RBI as Marywood jumped out to a 14-0 lead by plating seven in the first and seven more in the second.  Flanagan's sister Kim, a senior, also had a nice day at the plate in the opener with a 3-for-4, two RBI performance.  Meghin Palmer (Greencastle, PA) was 3-4 with three RBI and three runs scored while Ashley Dommes picked up two doubles as part of her 3-for-4, four-RBI opening game performance.

Kaitlyn Jones (Madison Township, PA) got her fourth win of the year on the mound after striking out eight and allowing just one hit and no earned runs.  Marissa Meyers got the lone hit for the Ravens in the opener while Caitlin Mazzoni took the loss on the mound.

Brittany Basalyga (Clarks Summit, PA) went 3-for-4 with two RBI and Jillian Flanagan added a 4-for-4, three-RBI performance in the nightcap as Marywood cruised to the 18-0 win in five.  Kim Flanagan was 3-for-4 again in the nightcap and Marywood starter Talia Williams (Berwick, PA) struck out eight to improve to 5-2 on the year.

Christa Bednarek and Ashley Montecchio each went 1-for-2 for the Ravens while Ciara Figliuolo went 1-1.

Marywood will host Cabrini College Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in the final regular season CSAC doubleheader.  The Pacers have secured a playoff berth but could end up as high as the #2 seed or as low as the #6 seed depending on Saturday's results.
