(L-R) Sidney Tharpe, D.J. Strayhorn and Jerome Gosney were honored by the CSAC
Aston, PA - Freshman D.J. Strayhorn and senior Sidney Tharpe were each named to the All-Conference team as the Colonial States Athletic Conference released announced the end of the year award winners Monday afternoon. Strayhorn and Tharpe were both named to the Conference team as Honorable Mention selections while senior Jerome Gosney was named to the CSAC Sportsmanship Team. Cabrini College swept the special awards as Kevin Misevicius was named the Player of the Year, Corey Lemons took home Rookie of the Year honors and Cavaliers' coach Marcus Kahn was named the Coach of the Year.

Senior Sidney Tharpe (Victorville, CA) was named to the All-Conference team for a second year in a row. After being honored as a First Team selection in 2008-09, Tharpe followed up with an Honorable Mention nod despite missing the entire first semester. Tharpe, who had only one semester of eligibility left entering his senior year, chose to play in the second semester rather than the first. In just 16 games, Tharpe finished second on the team in scoring with 269 points and led the team with a 16.8 points per game average. In two seasons with the Pacers, Tharpe amassed 813 points. Tharpe set the school's single season scoring record with 544 points in his junior year after transferring in from Lehigh Carbon Community College.

A freshman, Strayhorn (Henryville, PA) enjoyed a solid campaign, leading the Pacers with 311 points and 105 assists. Strayhorn tied a school single-game record with 10 assists against Penn State Worthington early in the season and averaged 13.5 points per game. In an overtime win over Rosemont Strayhorn put up a season high 32 points, a team season best effort, and twice put up game highs with 29 points. In all, Strayhorn led the Pacers in scoring eight times.

Senior Jerome Gosney (Binghamton, NY) was a four-year member of the Pacers' basketball squad and was a two-year captain for Head Coach Eric Grundman. Gosney played in 23 games for the Pacers, averaged 2.3 points per game and 1.5 rebounds per game.

Marywood finished the 2009-2010 season with a 10-15 overall record which included a 6-12 mark in CSAC action. The Pacers finished seventh in the league standings to come up one spot shy of a second consecutive playoff berth.
