Dallas, PA – Marywood University’s men’s cross country team placed seventh out of eleven teams at Misericordia University’s Cougar Classic after picking up 198 points in Saturday’s race. Eric Sprenkle led the Pacers with a time of 29:48 to finish 40th out of 123 runners competing in the 8K event.
Sprenkle’s (York, PA) time was the fourth fastest even by a Marywood runner on Misericordia’s course. Brian Lewis (Scranton, PA) followed Sprenkle with a 46th place finish and a time of 30:03. Kenny Burdick (Taylor, PA) was the Pacers’ third finisher with a time of 30:27, good for 52nd place.
David Marra (Tannersville, PA) placed 68th overall with a time of 31:22 and was soon followed across the finish line by Christian Triana (Bound Brook, NJ) and Damon Giambrone (New Hope, PA) who finished 71stnd with times of 31:39 and 31:41, respectively. and 72
Kevin Iboy (Astoria, NY) was 88th on the day with a time of 32:52 while Michael O’Neill (Southampton, PA) finished 99th with a time of 33:47.
Marywood will next compete at the Paul Short Invitational on Friday, October 2nd. Race time is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. in Bethlehem, PA.
