Jared El Gayeh and Olivia Habicht were named to the CSAC Player of the Week Honor Roll for the week ending October 25th.
Aston, PA – Marywood University men’s soccer goalkeeper Jared El Gayeh and women’s soccer midfielder Olivia Habicht have been named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll for the week ending October 25th according to an announcement made today by the commissioner’s office.

El Gayeh (Baldwin, NY) earned his second straight CSAC Player of the Week Honor Roll accolade after making 15 saves in two games as Marywood went 1-0-1 and clinched a berth in the conference playoffs. On Wednesday evening, the sophomore made seven saves to post his fourth shutout of the season in a 0-0 tie with defending conference champion Cabrini College, stretch his shutout streak to just under 360 minutes.

In the Pacers’ 2-1 overtime win over Rosemont College on Saturday, El Gayeh again came up big, making eight sevens to help Marywood clinch its second straight berth conference playoff berth. El Gayeh currently fashions a 0.79 goals against average and .871 save percentage, both tops among CSAC goalkeepers.

Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) was named to the CSAC Player of the Week Honor Roll after leading the Marywood to a pair of conference wins as the Pacers extended their unbeaten streak to a program-best 13 games. The freshman midfielder had a goal and two assists to lead Marywood to a 5-0 win over Baptist Bible College on Tuesday afternoon.

In Saturday’s 1-0 win over Immaculata University, Habicht netted the game’s only goal by firing home a shot from 25 yards out in the 71st minute of play, her third game-winning goal of the season. Habicht is currently tied for fourth in the conference with 11 goals and is sixth in the CSAC with 26 points on the season.

Marywood’s men’s team hosts Immaculata on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. while the women’s squad can clinch the top-seed in the CSAC playoffs with a win over Keystone College Thursday night in match scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
