Borden and Green record 6 kills apiece in key conference win for Pacers
Marywood picked up a key 3-0 win over Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday.

Scranton, PA – Taryn Borden and Lizzy Green recorded six kills apiece to help lead Marywood University to a 3-0 sweep of Gwynedd-Mercy College in Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball action on Saturday afternoon. The Pacers moved to 8-13 on the season with the key win which puts the squad at 6-3 in conference play in Marywood's quest for a playoff berth.
Marywood won the first game of Saturday’s CSAC match 25-18 before taking game two by a 25-21 score. The Pacers would close out the Griffins in the third game with a 25-14 decision.
Green (Shenandoah, PA) finished the day with six kills and three service aces while Borden (Bridgewater, NJ) registered six kills and three digs to lead Marywood.
Jessica Swida (Wilkes-Barre Township, PA) led the Pacers defensively with nine digs while Riona Corr (Somersworth, NH) had a team-best 15 assists.
Marywood finished the match with 19 kills, seven service aces, and 20 digs while committing just eight errors on the afternoon.
The Pacers return to action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Cabrini College for another key CSAC match scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Radnor.
