Gettysburg, PA – Marywood University’s men’s cross country team placed 20th out of 25 teams at Saturday’s Gettysburg Invitational. The Pacers, who picked up 549 points on the day, were lead by Eric Sprenkle, who ran a 28:50 to finish 95th overall out of 316 runners in the 8K race, Marywood’s final tune-up before the CSAC Championships in two weeks.
Sprenkle (York, PA), Marywood’s top runner for much of the season, was followed by David Marra (Tannersville, PA). Marra completed the course in 29:31 to finish 133rd overall while Kenny Burdick (Taylor, PA) finished 154th with a time of 29:49.
Brian Lewis (Scranton, PA) was Marywood’s fourth finisher, bringing home a 187th place finish and a time of 30:21. Keith Makar (Whippany, NJ) ran a 30:58 to claim 218th place. Brice Reid (Easton, MD) crossed the finish line in 31:02, good for 225th place.
Damon Giambrone (New Hope, PA) came home with a time of 31:21 to place 236th and was followed by Michael O’Neill’s (Southampton, PA) 32:13 which placed him 266th. Kevin Iboy (Astoria, NY) was 294thth with a time of 34:04 while R.J. Stiltenpole (Scranton, PA) rounded out Marywood’s finishers in 305 place with a time of 34:45.
Marywood will next run at the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, November 7th at 10:00 a.m. as the first event at the CSAC Fall Festival at Immaculata University.
