Three Pacers Earn CSAC Honors
Coleman, Brogna nab Honorable Mention All-Conference Accolades, Schneider named Sportsmanship Recipient
Beth Schneider was one of three Pacers honored by the CSAC today.
Aston, PA - Marywood University women’s tennis players Kellie Coleman, Jessica Brogna, and Beth Schneider have earned Colonial States Athletic Conference recognition according to an announcement made today by the commissioner’s office. Coleman and Brogna garnered Honorable Mention All-Conference Doubles honors while Schneider was the Pacers’ recipient of the CSAC Sportsmanship Award.
Coleman, a junior from Carbondale, and Brogna, a freshman from Pittston, captured Honorable Mention Doubles honors after combining to post a 9-1 overall record in doubles play. After dropping an 8-2 decision to Gwynedd-Mercy on September 14th, the duo rattled off eight consecutive conference wins to help the Pacers earn a trip to the CSAC playoffs.
Schneider, a sophomore captain from Port Jervis, NY, posted a 7-3 record in singles play while swapping between spots two through four in the lineup. Schneider had a 6-3 mark in doubles play, combined between the number two and three doubles slots.
Marywood, who posted a 7-6 overall record on the season including a 7-3 mark in conference play, takes on Gwynedd-Mercy College in the CSAC Semifinals on Saturday at HealthPlex in Philadelphia at 9:00 a.m.
