Marywood Finishes Sixth at DeSales Invitational
Bauer, Bender record top-30 finishes as Pacers finish best among CSAC schools

Center Valley, PA – Freshmen Sarah Bauer and Stephanie Bender each recorded top-30 finishes to help lead Marywood University’s women’s cross country team to a sixth place finish at Saturday’s DeSales University Invitational, tops among Colonial States Athletic Conference schools. The Pacers finished with 188 points in the 25-team, 6K race.
Bauer (Rockaway, NJ) completed the course in 25:07 to place her 27th overall out of 221 runners. Bender (Albrightsville, PA) followed in 30th place with a time of 25:09. Lauren Rustad (West Chester, PA) placed 37th with a time of 25:26.
Amanda Misiak (Bellmawr, NJ) was the fourth Pacers to cross this finish line, bringing home a 45th place finish with a time of 25:37. Kelsey Dunn (Waldwick, NJ) was 57th overall after completing the course in 25:58 while Colleen Spring (Binghamton, NY) placed 63rd with a time of 26:07.
Jessica McCauley (Gouldsboro, PA) was 98th overall with a time of 27:06 while Alyson Sawey (Sparta, NJ) rounded out Marywood’s finishers with a time of 27:44, good for 110th place.
Marywood will compete next Saturday in the Gettysburg College Invitational.
