Scranton, PA - Marywood University has become official members of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), America's largest sporting conference. Dr. Mary Jo Gunning, Director of Athletics and Recreation, made the announcement today. Marywood, members of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), becomes members of the nation's largest athletic conference and only multi-divisional conference, with approximately 300 member institutions ranging across 16 states from Maine to North Carolina and westerly to Illinois.

Aston, PA - Forty six Marywood University winter and spring student-athletes have been honored as the Colonial States Athletic Conference announced the Spring 2010 All-Academic Team. “It is my pleasure to announce that 483 Colonial States Athletic Conference student-athletes have achieved the level of academic success necessary to be named to the Spring 2010 CSAC All-Academic Team,” said CSAC Commissioner, Amy Friedman. “These student-athletes have assumed leadership roles on their campuses by demonstrating that a complete education includes both academics and athletics.”

Radnor, PA – Top-seeded Cabrini College defeated fifth-seeded Marywood University 21-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference women’s lacrosse semifinals on Wednesday afternoon. The Cavaliers improve to 10-7 on the season and advance to Saturday’s CSAC Final while the Pacers end their season with a 9-9 record, the first .500 or better season in the program’s three-year history.

Aston, PA - The Colonial States Athletic Conference has announced the start times for three Marywood University playoff games this week.  The Men's and Women's Lacrosse teams both have semifinal playoff games with the men's game being played at Marywood while the Softball team will host a first-round playoff game Wednesday.  There is no admission fee for any of the events.

Baltimore, MD – Marywood University’s women’s lacrosse team earned the first postseason victory in program history on Saturday afternoon with a 12-6 win at the College of Notre Dame in the first round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference playoffs. The Pacers, now 9-8 on the season, advance to the CSAC Semifinals, where they will face top-seeded Cabrini College on Wednesday afternoon.

Aston, PA – Marywood University women’s lacrosse players Taylor McKeown and Allie Sodl were named First Team All-Conference, highlighting six Pacers to be recognized by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) as the commissioners’ office announced the First, Second and Honorable Mention All-Conference teams and individual sportsmanship awards today. Carrie Glenn garnered Second Team honors while Alexis Willey and Katie Sullivan were named the Honorable Mention squad. Kelly Kryspin was selected as Marywood’s CSAC Sportsmanship Award recipient.

Scranton, PA – Marywood University senior Lisa Hanselman, the 2009 Colonial States Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, has been named Marywood’s Senior Student-Athlete of the Year as the Athletics & Recreation Department honored it’s student-athletes at their annual end of the year banquet Sunday afternoon on Marywood’s campus.  Women's Basketball senior Erin Furlong was named the recipient of the Mary Beth Salmon Award for Dedication and Women's Lacrosse junior Alexis Willey was named the 2010 Pacers Club Humanitarian Award winner.

Scranton, PA – Hartwick College built a seven-goal lead midway through the first half and held on for a 13-8 win over Marywood University in the regular season finale for both teams on Friday evening. The Hawks improves to 2-10 on the season with the victory while the Pacers will take an 8-8 overall record into their Colonial States Athletic Conference first-round playoff game on Saturday May 1st.

Scranton, PA – Alfred University picked up a 15-11 win in a non-conference women’s lacrosse game at Marywood University on Wednesday night that was interrupted by an hour long lighting delay in the second half. With the win, the Saxons improve to 6-7 on the season while the Pacers fall to 8-7.
